Working mothers have been one of the most impacted groups of women during the pandemic.
That’s why Moms at Work, Canada's largest and most trusted community of working mothers, has launched a Job Board focused on helping women return to the workforce with forward-thinking employers.
"When the pandemic hit, we saw our members forced out of the workforce due to workplace downsizing and school and daycare closures," says Allison Venditti, founder and CEO of Moms at Work. "The Moms at Work Job Board is just one of the ways we are stepping up for our community and supporting Canada's economic she-covery. We want to help mothers get back to work and not just with any employers, but with those who will support working families and are committed to increasing their gender diversity."
Developed by experienced recruiters (who are also mothers), the Moms at Work Job Board makes it easy for hiring managers to position their companies as employers of choice for women and parents by highlighting perks such as extended health benefits, flexible work, maternity leave top-ups and more.
Employers gain access to the Moms at Work community of over 10,000 mid- and senior-level women across Canada. Moms at Work members have on average six to 10 years of experience in a wide range of industries.
How it works
- Set up a free employer account here;
- Complete an employer profile;
- Post a job;
- Applicants apply directly through the employer's website - no middle person involved!
Pricing for a single job posting ranges from CAD $25 for small business owners with less than 10 employees to $225 for larger employers.
The job board also offers a 'featured post' add-on to help increase visibility. Featured posts sit at the top of the feed, are shared to the Moms at Work Facebook Page and highlighted in our monthly careers newsletter.
Moms at Work requires that all job postings include the salary range because, as Allison Venditti explains, "pay transparency is an essential first step towards pay equity".
Not a mom but wondering if you can still apply to a position on the Moms at Work job board? No problem! Jobs posted are not exclusively for mothers - anyone can apply. Moms at Work just wants to make it easier for employers to connect with the Moms at Work talent pool.
